About Us
St. John’s Reformed Church is a historic Christian congregation located in St. Johnsville, New York. For generations, this church has been a place where the Word of God is faithfully preached, the gospel of Jesus Christ is proclaimed, and believers gather for worship, prayer, and fellowship.Our desire is simple: to glorify God and make Christ known in our community. Each week we gather for reverent worship centered on Scripture, prayer, and the preaching of God’s Word. We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God and that salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone.St. John’s stands in the rich tradition of the historic Reformed faith. This means we affirm the great truths recovered during the Reformation—that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, according to Scripture alone, for the glory of God alone.Whether you are new to the area, exploring the Christian faith, or looking for a church home, you are warmly invited to worship with us. WORSHIP
WorshipAt St. John’s Reformed Church, our worship is rooted in the historic practices of the Reformed tradition. Reformed worship is centered on the conviction that God speaks through His Word and His people respond with reverence, prayer, praise, and thanksgiving. Our services are shaped by Scripture and seek to keep the focus where it belongs—on the glory of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ.Each Lord’s Day we gather to read the Scriptures, pray together, sing praises to God, and hear the faithful preaching of His Word. Worship is not about entertainment or performance, but about meeting with the living God as His people. We seek a reverent and Christ-centered service where believers are strengthened in their faith and where visitors can clearly hear the message of the gospel.The preaching ministry at St. John’s is led by Pastor Dave Keyser, who is committed to the faithful exposition of Scripture. His preaching follows an expository approach, meaning the message comes directly from the text of the Bible. Rather than jumping from topic to topic, Pastor Keyser preaches verse by verse and book by book through the Scriptures, helping the congregation understand the meaning of the passage in its context and how it applies to our lives today.This kind of preaching allows the whole counsel of God to shape the life of the church. By working through entire books of the Bible, the congregation grows in a deeper understanding of God’s Word and learns to see how all of Scripture points to Jesus Christ.Our prayer is that every service at St. John’s would glorify God, strengthen believers, and clearly proclaim the good news of salvation through Christ alone.
